Most older Waikato homes have completely empty walls

Homes built before the 1990s usually have some ceiling and underfloor insulation — but the walls were left empty. Heat moves from warm to cold, so the warmth you pay for simply escapes through the walls.

Three ways we can install it

We choose the method that suits your home — most installs take about a day.

External walls

Through the cladding, from outside

Ideal for most existing homes. Small holes are drilled through weatherboard, brick or other cladding, insulation is blown in, and every hole is sealed and repainted. No interior work at all.

Internal walls

Through the existing plasterboard

Where outside access isn’t practical, we install from inside. Holes are drilled through the plasterboard, insulation is blown in, and the holes are patched ready for painting.
